One of the best hidden gems for Asian food we’ve ever been to! We weren’t quite sure what to expect when we walked in, but from the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and efficient, making us feel well looked after throughout our visit.The food was absolutely outstanding every dish was full of flavour and beautifully cooked. The prices were also extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service.The standout dish for us was the salt and pepper prawns. Without a doubt, they were the best we’ve ever had and are an absolute must-try!We’ll definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends and family, and we’ll certainly be back again. We had a wonderful family dinner at East Lane and were genuinely impressed with both the food and the service. We ordered the Lamb Chops, Braised Pork Belly, Non-Veg Fried Rice, Lamb Shank, and Katsu Curry, and every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and tender, the braised pork belly melted in the mouth, and the lamb shank was rich, juicy, and comforting. The non-veg fried rice was packed with flavour, and the katsu curry had a delicious crispy texture with a perfectly balanced curry sauce. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great place for a family meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Four of us ate here yesterday, myself, husband, daughter and grandson. We didn't know the area and chose it at random but we struck lucky! Very tasty food indeed and caring service. The decor is unfussy yet atmospheric. We had Thai green curry, tofu, prawns, Katsu curry, sticky jasmine rice... all arrived piping hot and absolutely delicious... At the end we tried a delectable dessert of set cream with jaggery - a perfect creme brulee in fact, brought to the table by the chef himself. What a shame we don't live nearby - we would definitely eat here regularly! Thank you for a perfect end to a great day visiting Kingston. ~ ANNE G

They’ve done it again. Menu (and cuisine) has had a reboot and the food is again exceptional. This place used to be Bindaas which was a solid Indian but they’ve now gone more Asian fusion and stand out dishes like the Chicken Karage, the spiced squid, the prawns and the chops are all elevating the food to another level. ~ Waleed E

Really enjoyed the food here. Had the chicken bao to start followed by the duck and pancakes as a main. Both dishes were super flavourful and tasty. The service was great. Also a nice environment that looks to have been redone recently. We will definitely be coming back. Also good to know they do takeaway, for future. ~ William F

I ordered and collected from this new restaurant, what astonishingly delicious food, the grilled fish , the tofu Thai green curry and smashed cucumber. I am just so glad that there is such an amazing restaurant almost on my doorstep, the best restaurant in the area! ~ David D

Excellent service, quick too. Best lamb chops I've ever had in a restaurant. Very friendly and attentive staff. We were the only ones in there (Thursday about 8pm) which is a surprise considering how good the food is, but it is a bit on the pricy side, so it's more of special treat. ~ Tess

Honestly loved the food at East Lane! The absolute highlight was the lamb racks—so tender with an amazing crisp crust. The chicken karaage was also spot on, incredibly crunchy and juicy. Lovely vibe too, will definitely be back! ~ Nithin T

Really flavourful food. Fresh and the meat was impressively succulent. The crispy corn is also a must. Love the small plates aspect so you can try lots of dishes. Service was great, the waiter was particularly attentive. ~ Olivia T

The wonderful thing about this restaurant is that the dishes overdeliver on expectations. I knew the chef was a star but the menu looked overly familiar and uninspiring but each dish was delivered with imagination and a little magic. ~ Ian W
